Jammu and Kashmir Police has launched Project Hawk Eye, a multi-layered security initiative ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra, deploying drones, expanded CCTV surveillance, facial recognition systems and sniper teams along vulnerable stretches of the pilgrimage routes.

Security forces have also conducted mock drills across Jammu and Kashmir to test emergency response, evacuation, anti-sabotage measures and inter-agency coordination.

Officials said the technology-driven security grid is aimed at ensuring real-time monitoring, swift threat response and the safe conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
