The Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday rejected the opposition’s allegations that permanent posts are being filled through outsourcing, asserting that all regular recruitments are conducted transparently through the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board.
Addressing a press conference, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani said outsourcing is used only to meet temporary manpower needs and was introduced during the People's Democratic Party–Bharatiya Janata Party government (2015–2018).
Ministers Sakina Itoo and Javid Ahmad Dar also defended the policy, alleging irregular appointments during the previous regime and maintaining that outsourcing under centrally sponsored schemes follows transparent procurement norms and does not amount to permanent government employment.
