Agartala:  Day before 71st Independence Day, a National liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militant surrendered in North Tripura before BSF yesterday along with his family members without any arms.
According to report, self-style lieutenant of NLFT Biswamohan faction Biswamani Debbarma alias Baka / Bappi (34), of Rathilla locality under Padmabil police satiation of Khowai surrendered before Sindhu Kumar of DIG BSF Panisagar.
He also brought his wife Semi Debbarma (23), son Justin (6) and daughter Shinai (8 months).
Debbarma stated that he along with his family entered into India in N C Para BOP in eastern part of the state on August 13 last night.
Later, he contacted BSF for surrender, as he fled away from the camp at Bangladesh.   (UNI)
