Kangan, Aug 25: In two separate incidents at twin villages of Akhal Kangan here in Central Kashmirโ€™s Ganderbal district, two elderly persons were seriously injured in bear attacks.

The first incident occurred at Check Akhal village where a bear attack left 70-year-old man Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh seriously injured.

Doctors referred the injured man from Sub-District Hospital Kangan to SKIMS Soura.

Another incident occurred at Gounchi Mohalla Akhal where bear attacked a 53-year old woman Mukhti Begum. Locals brought the woman in a pool of blood at Sub-District Hospital Kangan.

The condition of both persons is stated to be critical. (KNT)
