Srinagar, Nov 27 : The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Saturday kick-started the ‘Eat Right Challenge’ – an annual district-wise competition of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) – here at Nehru Park on the Banks of Dal Lake.

The aim of the competition is to strengthen the food safety and regulatory environment and awareness among consumers to make healthy and better food choices.

This is part of the FSSAI’s large-scale initiative called Eat Right India (ERI) under the aegis of the Ministry of Health, to improve public health and combat negative nutritional trends to fight lifestyle diseases. (GNS)
