Ganderbal, Dec 19: A CRPF personnel on Sunday shoot himself dead with his service rifle in Gund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, official sources said.

They said that the paramilitary force personnel of 118 Battalion identified as Deonath Yadav (41) Son of Surat Yadav a resident of Mirzapur UP ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle in Gund area. He died on the spot, they said.

A police official told KDC that the proceedings have been launched into the incident. It was not immediately known what made the constable take the extreme step. (With KDC Inputs)
