Srinagar, Jan 19 : The meteorological department Srinagar on Wednesday said that there are chances of light rain and snowfall during 22 and 23 January in Jammu and Kashmir, however, there no forecast for any major snow spell.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the weather will mainly remain dry from 24 January onwards till end of this month.

He said that today the weather was partly to generally cloudy in both the regions, while light rain and snowfall occurred at scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir.

The official said that a spell of light rain or snowfall is likely during January 22 and 23 with 60 percent chances of downpour.

“Thereafter, mainly Dry weather is expected from 24th onwards till end of this month. There’s no forecast of any major snow spell till ending January,” he said. (KNS)
