SRINAGAR, Aug 26  Mobile internet service of all cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has been suspended since early this morning as a precautionary measure in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where a group of fidayeen stormed into District Police Line (DPL), killing a policeman and injuring four others.
Official sources told UNI that mobile internet service has been suspended in the district as a precautionary measure to prevent spread of any rumours.
Authorities have in the past also suspended internet services on many occasions, claiming that it was used by ‘anti-national elements’ to incite people and create law and order problem during counter-insurgency operations.  (UNI)
