Jammu, Aug 29 : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president Ghulam Ahmed Mir is likely to be re-elected as party head during the elections scheduled in October.
“Mr Mir has completed more than two-and-half year term and as per party norms and election process has to take place in September or October ending,” party sources here told UNI.
They said that generally the party head can continue for a period of five years but it is up to the high command to take a decision on appointing the new party president or continue with the same.
