Forest protection force on Saturday seized illicit timber from compartment no 19 of Aloosa forest area in Bandipora district.

Joint director Forest Protection Force Kashmir, Irfan Rasool told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that following specific information, forest protection force carried out search operation in compartment no 19 of Aloosa Block of.

He said that during search operation the team recorded 6 numbers of illegally damaged stumps in the said compartment and seized 114 cft timber from the spot.

He added that they have started an investigation in this regard, though no arrests have been made so far, while manhunt has been launched to apprehended the culprits. (KNS)
