Ganderbal (KPS): In view of forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha, Market Checking was conducted by a team of officers led by SSP Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone and Tehsildar Ganderbal, Rabiya Yosuf. The team conducted a market checking drive at various locations at Ganderbal town including main market. The checking was aimed at ensuring the quality and price control and to keep a vigil on erring traders.
During the inspection the checking team realized fine on various shopkeepers violating legal regulations. The team also destroyed contaminated vegetables and spices and also realized fine from shopkeepers for not displaying rate list at their shops.
Market Checking drive was also conducted at all Tehsils of District Ganderbal including Main market Tulmulla, Safapora, Manigam and Main market of Lar, Wakura, Main market Kangan and Gund. The Tehsildars of the respective Tehsils asked the customers to register complaints in case of overcharging.
