New Delhi, Sept 20:  In order to ensure urgent and multi-colour printing work of the Central government offices all over the country, the Union Cabinet today decided to merge 17 printing presses.
In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Cabinet also decided to protect the existing working force. The exercise will be carried out at zero cost to the exchequer and “without any retrenchment”, an official statement said.
“Modernisation of the presses will enable them to undertake important confidential, urgent and multi-colour printing work of the Central government offices all over the country,” the government said. (UNI)
