The Food Safety Department has suspended the license and registration of three eateries, including two hotels and a dhaba in Kangan area of Ganderbal district after they failed mandatory food quality tests.

Incharge food inspector Fayaz Ahmad told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that samples were collected from several restaurants during routine checks.

"These samples were sent for laboratory testing, and after reports showed irregularities, the license of three establishments was suspended," he said.

He said that legal proceedings will be initiated against the violators under the Food Safety and Standards Act.

Authorities have appealed to the public to remain cautious and assured that regular inspections of hotels, restaurants, and dhabas will continue to ensure safe and hygienic food for consumers.
