Jammu, Sept 21 : At least 10 employees of different departments were today suspended for their unauthorised absence from duty in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, inquiry has also been initiated against four field functionaries who left the station without making entry in the movement register.
On the directions of Deputy commissioner Poonch Tariq Ahmad Zargar, a team of officials, led by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Hamied, today conducted surprise inspection of various government offices in tehsil Mandi.
During the inspection ten employees were found absent and were immediately placed under suspension.
As per an order, the employees suspended are Rajpal, Nazir and orderlies Sultan Mohammad Mukhtar Ahamad, Maqbool Hussain, tehsil office Mandi.
Ali Akbar, Helper, PWD department, Mandi, Abdul Ahad, Jr.Assistant PDD department Mandi, Manoh Kumar, technicians III PDD Mandi, Asgar Ali, Super pharmacist, Syeda Khanam, MPW and Riyasat Ali, lab technician all posted at PHC Loran.
Meanwhile, the officer officials who were not found present in their offices and had left the station without making entry in the movement register were directed to explain their position through their respective controlling officer, failing which warranted action under rules would be initiated against them.  (UNI)
