The Border Security Force has handed over a Bangladeshi national to Border Police Post Gajansoo under Police Station Kanachak after apprehending him near the International Border in the Gajansoo area of Jammu district.

Officials told GNS that the individual identified as one Shariful Islam Bhuiyan, son of Mozibul Haque Bhuiyan, 19 years old, is a resident of Adra in Comilla district of Bangladesh.

The apprehension, the officials said, was made during routine border surveillance. "After completing initial formalities, the BSF transferred the individual to the local police for further legal action."

"Police have initiated questioning to ascertain the circumstances that led to his presence near the International Border," they said adding further investigation is underway. (GNS)
