The State Taxes Department, Circle Baramulla I & II, on Friday organised a warm retirement ceremony for its senior-most official, Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, who served the department with distinction for over 28 years.

The retirement function was held at Dak Bungalow Baramulla and chaired by State Taxes Officer Majeed-ul-Islam. It was attended by STO Sopore Parvez Ahmad Ganaie, STO Enforcement North Showkat Ahmad, and other officers and employees of Circle Baramulla I & II. The dais proceedings were conducted by Nasir Amin Tugoo.

Speaking on the occasion, officers and colleagues paid tribute to Mushtaq Ahmad Malik's honesty, professionalism, and dedication, highlighting his valuable contributions to the functioning and development of the department over nearly three decades.

Gifts and flower garlands were presented to him as a token of love and respect, and the function concluded with prayers and best wishes for his good health and future endeavours.

 

Following the function, Mushtaq Ahmad Malik was escorted in a caravan of vehicles to his native place, Uri, where a simple retirement gathering was also organised in his honour.
