Three minor girls from Nunwani, Brakpora, in south Kashmir's Anantnag district remain untraceable, more than a day after they went missing on Friday evening.
Police, along with local volunteers, are conducting an intensified search of the area, which lies close to forested terrain. While there is no official word on what happened, residents fear the girls may have encountered wild animals given the area's proximity to the forest.
Authorities said search efforts are continuing on multiple fronts and appealed to the public for any information that could help locate the children.
