Srinagar: A complete shutdown was observed in Shopian town of South Kashmir and Hajin area of north Kashmir on Thursday to mourn the killings of militants killed in two different gunfights.
All shops and business establishments remained closed in both the towns while as public transport remained off the roads.
Three local militants were killed in a gunfight with government at Gattipora area of Keller in Shopian district three days back. Two militants were also killed in Hajin area on Wednesday during a gunfight with forces.
