PM Modi reaches Gurez, to celebrate Diwali with army soldiers

New Delhi, Oct 19 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his good wishes to the people on the occasion of Diwali.
”Deepawali ke shubh avasar par sabhi deshwasion to hardik shubhkamnayen,” (Goods wishes to all citizens of the country on the auspicious occasion of Diwali),” the Prime Minister tweeted.
The festival of lights is being celebrated in most parts of the country on Thursday with all fervour and gaiety.
Sources said that Modi reached at the Army Brigade Headquarters at Dawar near the Line of Control (LoC) where he is likely to spent some time with the soldiers.
They said that the Prime Minister is likely to visit Tulail area as well.

Pertinently, Army Chief Bipin Rawat had reached Srinagar yesterday to review the security situation.
