SRINAGAR: The government on Tuesday appointed Riyaz Ahmad Wani as the new Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC).
“In the interest of administration, Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Wani, KAS, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, is transferred and posted as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, relieving Dr. Shafqat Khan, Health Officer, Srinagar Municipal Corporation of the additional charge,” said a government order issued in Srinagar.
It said Dr. Shafqat Khan, Health Officer, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, is repatriated to the Health and Medical Education Department, for further posting.
