New Delhi, Oct 26 : External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday sought a report from the Uttar Pradesh government in connection with the assault on two Swiss couple near Agra by local citizens.
“I have just seen this (media report).
I have asked for a report from the state government,” Ms Swaraj tweeted.
The young Swiss couple was attacked by a group of youth in Fatehpur Sikri on October 22 with stones and sticks, according to reports.
The incident happened when Quentin Jeremy Clerc and his partner Marie Droz, both in their twenties, were strolling around a railway track in Fatehpur Sikri when a group of local youth harassed and assaulted them.
