Srinagar, Nov 8 : Life remained affected for the second day on Wednesday due to shutdown in south Kashmir district of Pulwama where three militants, including Divisional Commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), were killed in a fierce encounter.

A soldier was killed and a civilian injured in the exchange of fire on Monday night.

One of the slain militants identified as Talha Rasheed, is nephew of JeM Pakistan based chief Moulana Masood Azhar.
Police have now requested Pakistan to claim the body of Talha, a Pakistani resident.

Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was also off the roads in Pulwama, where authorities have suspended mobile service since last night.
