Jammu, Nov 9 : A GREF labourer died of electrocution while three others sustained injuries on Thursday in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Four labourers were working at a construction site this afternoon in Dharamsal area of Rajouri,” police here said.

They said the moment truck driver lifted the back of the tipper to loading the sand, it touched an electric wire passing by.

“The labourers suffered an electric shock and were immediately rushed to the hospital,” they said.

Police said one of the labourers identified as Bittu Ram,30, son of Ram Ditta, resident of Mathayani, Teryath died while three others namely Raja Ram,42, son of Beli Ram, resident of Mathayani, Teryath, Abdul Rashid, 35, son of Qayam Din, resident of Moghla and Kuldip Raj, son of Balkrishan, resident of Teleri, Khawas were injured and admitted to a hospital in Sunderbani.
