Srinagar: The State Human Rights Commission on Wednesday announced its maiden initiative to provide two to three weeks internship course on ‘Human Rights Issues’ to the Law students.

Chairperson of the SHRC, Justice (retd) Bilal Nazki, announced the internship will commence from December 16.

“In this regard communications were addressed to Vice Chancellors of Kashmir University- and Jammu University with the request that if any Law Student of their Universities intends to do Internship Course on “Human Rights Issues” can participate at Commission’s Headquarters at Old Assembly Complex Srinagar and at Commission’s Sub Office Trikuta Nagar Jammu subject to sponsorship letter of respective Head of Departments,” an official statement issued here said.
