New Delhi, Dec 7 : The Supreme Court on Thursday said it is likely to hear the Aadhaar case next week for passing an interim relief to many petitioners in the matter.

KK Venugopal, the top law officer appearing for the Centre, told the three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra and also comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud, that the Union of India was likely to extend the deadline for the compulsory linking of many services.

Senior Supreme Court lawyer, Shyam Divan, mentioned before the apex court and told it that the deadline was going to expire, so the petitioners should be heard for an interim relief.
