Srinagar, Dec 19 : Train service was suspended on Tuesday for security reasons in south Kashmir, where two militants were killed and a soldier injured in a fierce encounter in Shopian district early this morning.

However, train service from Srinagar-Badgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north will not be affected, a railway official said.

He said all trains from Budgam-Srinagar to Anantnag, Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region have been suspended for security reasons.
