Washington, Dec 19 : Human Rights Watch (HRW) has reported the burning of 40 additional Rohingya villages in Myanmar in a military campaign.

HRW’s Asia director Brad Adams, in a statement on Monday, citing analysis of satellite imagery, said the buildings in 40 villages were destroyed in October and November, increasing the total to 354 villages that had been partially or completely razed since last August.

‘The satellite imagery shows what the Burmese army denies: that Rohingya villages continue to be destroyed. Burmese government pledges to ensure the safety of returning Rohingya cannot be taken seriously,’ he said.
