Srinagar, Dec 21 : The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) Thursday called for protests on Friday against the recent killings of civilians at the hands of government forces, sources said.

Three civilians –  two young women and a sumo driver – were killed in force’s actions in north and south Kashmir during past ten days.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik called for protests after congregational Friday prayers against the killings, they added.

Kashmir valley observed a near-total strike yesterday on account of civilians killings. (Kashmir Wire)
