Srinagar, Jan 3 : Business markets are closed in Sopore town of north Kashmir today, following a call given by the traders Federation of  Sopore.

Shops and other business establishments are closed in the town but public transport was plying on the roads, reports said.

The call was given by the  President of the traders federation of sopore, Mohammad Ashraf Ganai yesterday soon after the town witnessed a mysterious blaze which consumed 12 shops and a restaurant.

The shutdown call was given by the traders against the alleged negligence of local administration for “failing to save the town from miscreants”, who, it said, are looting the shops before setting them on fire. (Kashmir Wire)
