Thane, Jan 17 : The hearing of Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi in defamation case is fixed for April 23 in Thane court.
Mr Gandhi was to appear before the court of FCJM at Bhiwandi on Wednesday in connection with the defamation suit filed by a RSS leader objecting to his remarks during the election campaign here in March 2014.
The counsel for Mr Gandhi moved the application seeking date, as the leader was busy in political and party works, and the same was granted by the court. He is expected to submit his plea in the matter in the next hearing on April 23.
