Lucknow, Feb 14 : Uttar Pradesh has produced 62.71 lakh tonnes of sugar during the current crushing season with the highest 10.35 per cent of recovery, official sources here on Wednesday.
said that the mills also paid highest ever amount of Rs 12444.22 crores to the cane farmers till now.
In all, 119 sugar mills are functioning in the state as 116 during the last crushing season.
