Kathmandu, Feb 15 : The resignation of Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been deferred to Thursday.

Mr Debua had planned to address the nation on television and put his papers on Wednesday but it was deferred, a minister said.

He was expected to step down after the EC submitted the final results of the federal and provincial Assembly elections to President Bidya Devi Bhandari but as it was done around 2000 hrs, it was too late for the PM to address the nation and announce his resignation, the Minister was quoted as saying by Kathmandu Post, a Nepal daily.
