Baharampur, Feb 19 : Training her gun at the BJP-led Union Government for the prevailing chaotic situation across the country over PNB fraud, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today claimed the notebandi was planned a year before scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in November, 2016.

In reference to PNB’s Rs 11,400 crore fraud in Mumbai branch, Ms Banerjee said besides Punjab and National Bank, there were some other nationalised Banks, like Bank of Baroda, which have fraud cases and dented the confidence of the common people in the Banking industry.

She said several senior Bank officials of different nationalised Banks have been appointed a year ago.
