Srinagar, Feb 23 : The Jammu and Kashmir police is seeking help from the locals in identifying the driver and the vehicle involved in a hit and run case of 2017.

A Police Spokesman said here Friday that on October 30, 2017, a Tipper (truck) hit and killed motorcyclist Tanveer Hussain Dar, resident of Balhama at main chowk, Nowgam.

Though a case has been registered, but so far, police has not been able to identify either the driver, or the vehicle involved in the accident.

Police is now seeking help from the people to identify the accused driver, he said, adding that if anybody has any information about the driver, he or she should contact the nearest police station.
Further, the identity of the informer will not be disclosed, who will also be awarded, the Spokesman said.
