New Delhi, Mar 29 : Under fire for the CBSE Question paper leak, the government on Thursday said it will take all appropriate actions so that the culprits are brought to book even as Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh said some gangs are operating in this manner since 2012.

“Now, what has come out is that some gangs were operating since 2012. Our government was not in power. This government is now taking actions,” Mr Singh told reporters here.
“This gang used to do the same through software abuse,” he said.
Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said the law will soon take its course
and those responsible will be punished.
“This is a very unfortunate development, I understand the pain the parents and students have to go through,”
he said, adding, “Whoever is involved in the paper leak will not be spared, police will soon arrest the culprits”.
Mr Javadekar has on Wednesday expressed grief over the leak of CBSE question papers and said a ‘new mechanism’ will be put in place from Monday where there will be a ‘leak proof’ arrangement.
“Ek nayi vyavastha layenge (There will be a new leak proof mechanism installed),” Mr Javadekar said.
The CBSE question paper leak has drawn severe criticism of the government with Congress president Rahul Gandhi directly linking the episode to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and charged him with providing a “weak” governance.
