‘Remove such debris/waste material within a week’s time’

Srinagar: Srinagar Municipal Corporation today said that house owners and commercial establishments who keep debris/structural material on roads, lanes and parks will be fined upto Rs 50000 for causing impediment to free flow of pedestrian and traffic movement.

The SMC said that all defaulters are informed to immediately remove such debris/waste material within a week’s time. “Else charges under the Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 (Construction and Demolition Waste Management) shall be recovered for removing the material by the SMC,” a statement of the Corporation said.
