Shopian: The historic Mughal road that links Shopian in southern part of Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch districts in Pirpanchal region, remains closed for the third consecutive day on Monday due to fresh snowfall, reports said.

Traffic officials said that 86-km-long Mughal road, is closed in view of fresh snowfall at Peer Ki Gali.

However, they added that the authorities and Mughal Road Development Authority have started snow clearance so that vehicular movement is restored on the road, which is seen as an alternative to Kashmir highway.
