Srinagar, May 10 : A jawan of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) allegedly committed suicide with his service weapon in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said on Thursday.

They told UNI that panic gripped Kunzar camp of 2 RR when a firing shot was heard near a sentry post Wednesday evening.

Other personnel present in the camp immediately rushed to the sentry post where they found soldier Gurdeep Singh lying in a pool of blood.

The injured was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
The reason behind the extreme step was yet to be ascertained. UNI
