Srinagar: A Policeman was killed and another sustained injuries after suspected militants attacked a Sumo ferrying policemen in Bijbehara, sources said.
The Sumo came under firing near Padshahi Bagh in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara.
Policeman identified as Bilal Ahmad was killed on spot while as his colleague Abdul Rashid was shifted to Srinagar in injured state, hospital sources said.
Immediately after the attack, a huge contingent of forces cordoned off the area and started searches to nab the attackers.
