86 innovative, ecofriendly models showcased by students
Srinagar, June 05: Students across the state showcased their innovative and ecofriendly ideas at State level exhibition and project competition (SLEPC) here today.
On the occasion, 86 models were showcased at the event in which budding innovators of Class 6th to 10th from government and private schools, ranging from innovative to ecofriendly ideas.
Head of SIE Kashmir, Mehboob Husain, Director Academic BOSE, Farooq Ahmad Peer, JD schools, Abid Hussain, ADC Srinagar, Mufti Fared ud din, EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani, besides other officers were also present on the occasion.
Top models will be selected to represent the state at the national level exhibition.
The state-level exhibition is organized by State institute of Education Kashmir to nurture scientific temperament among students.
To bring out the inner capabilities and to give them real shape in reality, Head of SIE, Mehboob Hussain said that the event is organized such events from zonal to state level to give students a chance to contribute to its future.
He also said that teachers should be awarded and encouraged for their dedication towards nation building and preparing such budding scientists.
The event is being organized with an aim to create a scientific spirit among the students, increasing their cognition and reasoning power thereby making them more creative, he added.
Director academics said dynamic models produced by the students have immense potential to save our environment from various hazards while the event gives a chance towards research and betterment of society.
.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Later, as many as 11 modelsย have been selected for the national level and were awarded under Inspire Awards under scheme Million minds augmenting national aspiration and knowledge (MANAK) while asTufail Fayaz, of District Baramulla, Ishrat Bashir of District Srinagar, Sheeba Rashid of Kupwaraย bagged first three positions Research officer SIE Kashmir Dr.Rabia Naseem Mugal and Javeed Ahmed Kirmani Research Officer hosted the function.
