Panaji, Jun 8 : Senior Congress leader and former Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Shantaram Naik passed away at a hospital in South Goa on Saturday.
He was 72.
According to GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Naik, former Rajya Sabha Member, passed away at around 0630 hrs while he was being taken to Trimurty Hospital in Margao in South Goa after he suffered a massive heart attack.
Funeral will take place on Sunday near his
Cuncolim residence, Mr Chodankar said.
