Mumbai, June 15  : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday opened higher by 57 points to 35,656.26 on renewed buying in Materials, Energy, Finance and IT stocks.

The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) opened on a flat note at 10,808.65.

The sensex registered intra day high and low at 35,666.07 and 35,522.63 points respectively.

The Nifty registered intra day high and low at 10,831.35 and 10,788.90 respectively.

The sectoral indices like Materials, Energy, Finance and IT stocks pushed the market up in early trade.

The gainers Dr Reddy’s Lab by 3.88 pc to Rs 2356.50, Sun Pharma by 2.42 pc to Rs 573.20, Infosys by 1.56 pc to Rs 1258 and Reliance Industries by 1.16 pc to Rs 1019.20.
The losers were NTPC by 1.74 pc to Rs 155.60, Powergrid by 1.36 pc to Rs 196.30, Bharti Airtel by 0.81 pc to Rs 373.10 and SBIN by 0.76 pc to Rs 280.55.
