Srinagar: Two CRPF soldiers were killed and another sustained injuries after militants attacked their party at Achabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, police said.
They said that a civilian was also injured in the incident.
Police issued a statement about the said militant attack saying “today at around 1100 hrs Vehicle borne militants fired upon CRPF deployment at Achabal.”
“In the incident 4 CRPF personnel were injured, two of whom later succumbed to his injuries. One civilian was also injured in the incident,” the statement said.
“An FIR into the incident has been registered and investigations taken up.”
The deceased CRPF men have been identified as ASI M L Meena and Sandeep Singh Yadav.
