Srinagar: SK institute of medical sciences (SKIMS) and the health department in collaboration with ISRO Ahmadabad have installed a telemedicine node at Panjtarni for Amaranth pilgrims.

This is first time that telemedicine facility is being provided to the pilgrims at Panjtarni which is connected to SKIMS & PGI Chandigarh, a handout issued by SKIMS today said.

The facility will provide the yatris quick access in need of medical emergency.

Director SKIMS, Dr Omar Javed Shah appreciated the Department of Telemedicine for providing the facility in collaboration with ISRO.

“The facility will help pilgrims in a big way in case of medical emergencies/exigencies,” Shah added.(Agencies)
