Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Mawer area of the frontier Kupwara district.
Special operations group (SOG) of police and army appeared in Audoora of Mawer in Handwara this afternoon and started a CASO amid reports suggesting presence of militants in the village, eyewitnesses told Agencies. The search operation was underway.
