Srinagar, Nov 26 : An 80-year old woman died after she suffered a massive heart attack by the smoking suffocation caused by the shells fired by government forces during the clashes with protesters that erupted after the killing of six militants in a gunfight on last Sunday in Batagund village of Kapran area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. With the death of the woman the death toll of civilians has risen to two and over all death toll in Batagund gunfight has gone upto 9.
Narrating the woeful tale of her mother to Kulgam Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, son of Raja Begum said that the woman suffered massive heart attack by smoking suffocation when government forces fired shells and pellets randomly to control angry protesters who were clashing them. The woman was shifted to district Hospital Kulgam where she was declared brought dead. (KNS)
