Srinagar: A group of candidates who could not make it to the final list of Relationship Executives of J&K Bank, today held a protest outside the bank’s headquarters here.

The protesting candidates under the banner ‘J&K Bank dropees 2015-16’ held placards reading: “Save our future”.

Later, the candidates held a protest at Press Colony.

They said, “Advertisement was issued in March 2015. After written test 3107 were shortlisted out of total 51,000 candidates. The shortlisted aspirants were called for interview, out of which around 2500 appeared for interviews.”

They added, “After making us wait for more than two years, only 350 Relationship Executives were selected and around 1250 Banking Associates were also selected.”

Protesters told Press Trust of Kashmir that “Bank has so far not issued the merit list. Nor has it given out on what basis the Banking Associates were selected when the posts were only of Relationship Executives.”
