Mumbai, Dec 28 The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday rallied by 336.36 points to 36,143.64 on strong global cues. The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 96.45 points to 10,876.25. The sensex registered intra day high and low at 36,170.57 and 35,911.99 respectively. The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,887.50 and 10,817.15 points respectively. The sectoral indices like Materials, Bankex, Energy, Realty, Industrials and Technologies kept the market firm in early trade. The gainers were Sun Pharma by 2.76 pc to Rs 423.70, Yes Bank by 2.35 pc to Rs 182.75, VEDL by 1.86 pc to Rs 199.60 and HDFC by 1.80 pc to Rs 1981.70.
