Srinagar: Kashmir highway remained shut for the fifth straight day on Friday due to landslides in Ramban district.

A traffic police official said that fresh snowfall has occurred on both sides of the Jawahar Tunnel while it is also raining at several places on the highway. โ€œBesides, landslides have hit Gagroo, Anokhi Fall and Battery Chashma areas,โ€ he said.

The official said that due to bad weather the operation to clear the debris is on hold.
