SRINAGAR: For the consecutive third week, since Juma tul Vida (Last Friday of Ramadan) no Friday prayers were allowed today at Kashmir grand mosque Jamia Masjid Srinagar. Besides heavy deployment of government forces all roads leading to the mosque in Old City were sealed with concertina wires while the gates of the mosque were lock down aimed to curb the thousands of devotees from offering weekly congregational prayers.
“For the last 3 consecutive Fridays #JamaMasjid under lockdown& curfew, it reflects apathy &indifference of anti #Kashmir state towards people,” tweets Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
